Another successful marketing roadshow organized by Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, for the first time in Great Britain

The UK Roadshow concluded successfully with a major media event on 8th December, attended by more than 30 UK media outlets

Alliance Bulgarian Black Sea, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, realized four promotional events in Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

More than 170 representatives of the tourism business in Great Britain participated in the events from 4 to 8 December. Among them, Jet2holidays, Balkan Holidays and members of the media welcomed the opportunities for year-round tourism in Bulgaria and flight connections for the UK market. A new route London Southend - Burgas is coming, which is planned to start from June 17 to September 9 next year.

The cultural heritage of Bulgaria, world-class spa resorts and the most popular type of holiday in the United Kingdom – a city holiday, were presented to those present, demonstrating the potential of Sofia, Varna, Burgas and Plovdiv.

The marketing journey began in Newcastle, UK. For the first time, since its establishment, the Ministry of Tourism is supporting this type of event in Great Britain, MT reported.

The meeting was also attended by Prof. Mariela Modeva, who greeted the participants on behalf of the Minister of Tourism Zaritsa Dinkova. She emphasized that the event gives businesses the opportunity to present Bulgaria as a destination for year-round tourism, which offers wonderful opportunities for spa, health, cultural, adventure, culinary and wine tourism. Emphasis was also placed on the summer and winter resorts that attract the largest number of British tourists.

All the events in the UK were attended by Prof. Mariela Modeva from the Ministry of Tourism, Frank Kvante from Alliance Bulgarian Black Sea and representatives of Avatar Tour, Albena Group, Balkan Holidays, Best Western Premium Inn, Flamingo Hotel, Melia Hotels International, MPM Hotels and On Holidays.

The UK road show is an important step not only to attract more British tourists but also for investment. This is according to the analyzes of experts from the Ministry of Tourism, after the success of the initiative in Poland, Germany and Israel. The model of direct presentations and B2B meetings increase interest in Bulgaria and establish it as a destination for tourism throughout the year.
